Q: Do you have a pool and is the pool heated?

We do have a swimming pool and it doesn’t need to be heated.

Q: What facilities do you have?

There is also a guest lounge (licensed) featuring a large plasma TV.  Our best facility is the restaurant, which is the finest in Ipswich. We also offer room service aswell.

Q: How close is Ipswich city centre?

Ipswich city centre is about a kilometre away. A bus runs past our front door.

Q: What local attractions are there in Ipswich that I should visit when staying?

The standout attraction is the world-class Railway Workshops Museum. Allow at least half a day. The Nerima Gardens and Queens Park are well worth a visit, as is the Ipswich Art Gallery. For motor racing enthusiasts, the Queensland Raceway at Willowbank is a short 15-minute drive away. Ipswich is full of interesting old houses and a drive around the city can be very rewarding.

Q: Do you run a 24 hours reception and do you have after hours checkin facilities?

Reception closes at around 10 pm. However, there is a key safe for late arrivals and a night phone for anyone needing assistance.

Q: Can I get a late checkout?

We can usually accommodate requests for a late checkout, but it does depend on the cleaning load and whether the room is needed that night. We try to be as reasonable as possible, but sometimes we just have to get the room clean, and our housekeepers are usually finished by one o’clock in the afternoon. In those rare cases where a late checkout is not possible we always offer our guests free use of the lounge for the day, where they can sit in comfort and read, or watch TV. As we are licensed, they can have a drink or two if they wish.

Q: When do I have to pay a deposit?

eTourism Holidays, our booking agent will take an 11% deposit at time of booking when booking online.

Best Western Ipswich Heritage Motor Inn do not take deposits for accommodation except when a large group books a significant number of rooms. We do, however, ask for a credit card to secure the reservation.

For those without credit cards, we charge a key deposit which is fully refundable when the key is returned and the room is left in good condition.
 

Q: Is there car parking at the property?

We have three parking areas and we can accommodate cars, trucks, trailers, buses in our huge back yard, which is secure because it has no street frontage.
