Steam Powered Train

Step back in time and experience the way people traveled over 50 years ago. Steam train travel is far more cinematic than the high-speed commuter trains of today. The leather seats, wooden carriages, open windows and smell of steam make you feel as though you were a romantic traveler in a bygone era. Passengers will appreciate the elegance of a traditional steam train experience.

Take the steam train experience at these railways which are just a short drive from our Best Western NZ.

Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway

Held every first Sunday and selected Saturdays each month, take a ride on the Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway. Book a vintage train in one of the heritage coaches between Swanbank Station and Bundamba Racecourse.
