Taking place on Saturday 30 April 2011 at Browns Park, the inaugural Art Beat Festival will showcase and celebrate traditional and contemporary arts, crafts, performances. The Festival will showcase interactive arts and live presentations, displays, and workshops. The festival aims to provide opportunities and program for artists as well as promote participation in the local community to develop an audience for the arts.

The Festival seeks to create an arts trail in the park with art, cultural activities and interactive workshops. The art workshops will allow the community to participate in a diverse range activities with local artists and cultural providers. There will also be performing artists which includes buskers, street performers and performance groups that will provide fascinating presentations.
Take your pick at some of the most interesting and creative workshops which will include mask making, sculpting, felt making, story telling, mosaics, weaving, screen printing, dance and theatre arts, African arts and Indigenous arts.
